Parking

There is lots of car parking in Carnac, with more than 1,500 spaces available all year round. There is a parking charge from June 15 to September 15 on the some car parks. Blue zone parking is limited to 90 minutes and requires a parking disc.

1,900 additional parking spaces are opened in the summer season to meet the requirements of tourists, especially in the town center, near the market square and the at the beach on the Avenue des Emigrés.

Local transport

- Bus

Use the bus to enjoy Carnac and the area.

 

Line 1: Quiberon- Auray-Vannes, two stop sar Carnac, Square Illertissen, rue St Cornély in Carnac-Ville and Avenue des Druides in front of the Tourist Office at Carnac-Plage (every day, all year round).

Line 16/18: Port Louis Etel- La Trinité sur Mer

- The Tire-bouchon

A tourist train linking Auray to Quiberon all summer!

The Tire-bouchon runs from June 28 to August 31, 2014, but also the weekend of 14-15 and 21-22 June 2014 and 6-7 and 13-14 September 2014. Tickets on sale at the Tourist Office.

 

- Transport on demand

An exclusive service for retirees who can no longer use their own means of transport.

Around Carnac. Wednesday morning and Friday morning. Individual rate: € 1

Carnac> Auray and Auray> Carnac. Monday morning. Individual price: € 2

 

- Free shuttles: Carnavette and Carnoz

During the summer, a shuttle service is offered by the town from 12 July to 30 August. Every day from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 to 8:30 pm. The Carnavette shuttle runs every 15 minutes between the Ménec stones, Place de la Chapelle in Carnac-Ville (town hall and museum) and the Grande Plage (Port-En-Dro).

From 13 July to 31 August, from Tuesday to Friday from 4 to 5 am, and Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 2 am to 6am. From August 1 to 15, the shuttle runs daily between 2 am and 6 am.

The shuttle leaves every 30 minutes between the clubs and the town (Les Chandelles, the Whisky Club, the Petit Bedon, to the village of Beaumer campsites and the Grande Metairie, Rosnual, Moustoir and Etang camp sites). Additional stops can be requested (the bus terminates in front of the Tourist Office at Carnac, with scheduled stops at Avenue des Druides and Square-Illertissen).
